Wybone ‘Live Below The Line’ Challenge

Wybone ‘Live Below The Line’ Challenge

In News by Laura Dean

Four members of the Wybone office team will be attempting to ‘Live Below The Line’ and spend just £1 per day on food for 5 days to raise money for charity. The task challenges you to live below the poverty line, helping to raise both awareness and money for some fantastic causes. “Live Below the Line is challenging individuals and communities to see how much change you can make out of £1. By living off just £1 per day for food for 5 days, you will be bringing to life the direct experiences of the 1.4 billion people currently living in extreme poverty and helping to make real change.”

The task will see our team’s weekly food shop total just £5 each and must account for all meals. No donations of food can be accepted; so all cakes have been banned from the office for the week, so our team will get a little taste of living below the poverty line, a sad reality for over one billion people around the world. The challenge takes place from Monday 29th April to Friday the 3rd May, so all cakes and treats have been banned from the office to help avoid temptation!

Team Wybone have been planning their meals and managing their budgets in preparation for the challenge, and have a few creative ideas to help them get through the week. We’d like to wish them all good luck with this challenge. “We hope to raise as much money as we can for our charities through this tough challenge. We’re going to need some real will-power and creativity to make healthy meals within our £1 a day budget!”

Each member of the team is hoping to raise £100 each and they’re all off to a good start thanks to the generous staff at Wybone and their kind family and friends. There’s not long to go until the challenge starts now, so if you’d like to sponsor the girls then you can here: https://www.livebelowtheline.com/uk.
