Here at Wybone we’ve been designing and manufacturing waste bins and waste management solutions for the last 44 years. Established in 1969 by Mr Charles Wyatt, we remain a family run business and like to think we know all there is to know about bins! But that doesn’t mean we rest on our laurels, and we’re always looking at the latest design and manufacturing techniques to make sure our waste bins stay ahead of the rest.
Wybone is headquartered in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, where we employ over 70 people from the surrounding area and further afield who all hand make every bin to order and to the highest standard. We’re proud of the fact that we achieve all our manufacturing in the UK (which helps us decrease our carbon footprint!) and none of our materials are imported.
Talking of achievements, we are proud to hold industry standard ISO/BSI and Achilles accreditations that certify the high quality of all our work. We’ve also held the contract for the supply of sack holders to the NHS since 1998 and continue to supply them since we started making them in 1973.
We’d like to introduce you to the founder of Wybone Mr Charles Wyatt. Here are a few words he had to say about us: “In the forty years Wybone have been committed to the waste industry business, we have seen many changes. Wybone has kept up with these changes and now offer many varied designs for litter collection and recycling. I’m proud of our employees, many of whom have been with us for over 30 years, and we’ve grown to become a leading innovative manufacturer in the waste bin industry.”
